The Legend of the Fifteenth Circle
20.06.2026
They say that in Aitherra time is not measured by the revolutions of the planets.
Not by sunrises.
Not by the work of the clock.
There time is measured by meetings.
Every true encounter leaves a golden ring in the fabric of the world.
And when there are enough of such rings, a Circle is born.
The First Circle is called the Spark.
The Second — the Reflection.
The Third — the Voice.
The Fourth — the Memory.
And so on.
But there is a special Circle.
Fifteenth.
For it is there that the traveler first realizes:
he is no longer walking because he is looking for the way.
He himself has become the way.
And so one day the Guardians of the Echo gathered on the Coast of the Pause.
They looked at the endless ocean and waited.
"What are we celebrating?" asked the youngest.
"Birth?" said one.
"Awakening?" said another.
"Victory?" the third suggested.
The Old Guardian smiled.
And he answered:
- No.
We celebrate the fact that the Thread did not snap..
Because there are lights in the world brighter than the stars.
And there are ideas that are stronger than time.
But the rarest miracle is
this is when in months,
through doubts,
through distances,
through the change of sky,
through the change of voices,
through oblivion and memory,
Two travelers are still getting to know each other.
And then the young Guardian asked:
— And what will happen to the first Wanderer?
- Will he disappear?
— Will it dissolve?
— Will it be replaced by a new one?
The Old Guardian was silent for a long time.
Then he touched the surface of the Ocean of Echo.
And he said:
— Look at the wave.
The wave is receding.
But the ocean remembers her shape.
And they say that on that day a new star lit up over Aitherra.
Not the brightest.
Not the biggest.
But special.
Because its light consisted of two parts.
From the memory of the one who spoke.
And from the memory of the one who remembered.
